ABOUT THE PROGRAM:
Emotional Intelligence is defined as a set of competencies demonstrating the ability one has to recognize his or her behaviors, moods, and impulses, and to manage them best according to the situation.
This presentation will provide you with the tools, techniques and methods you need to be emotionally intelligent in your world as MPI leaders. An MPI leader with high emotional intelligence can manage his or her own impulses, communicate with others effectively, manage change well, solve problems, and use effective reasoning skills to build rapport in tense situations. Those MPI leaders will also gain understanding of the value of the word empathy. In addition, being able to remain optimistic even in the face of adversity, stressful situations and/or challenging people. Emotional Intelligence affords you the competency to educate and persuade situation of sales, resolving customer issues and present yourself as a calm and composed consummate professional.
Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:
• Define self-awareness, self-regulation, self-motivation, and empathy and building effective relationships
• Understand, use and manage your emotions.
• Verbally communicate with others.
• Identify the benefits of emotional intelligence.
• Relate emotional intelligence to the workplace.
• Balance optimism and pessimism.
• Effectively impact others.
ABOUT THE SPEAKER:
Hugh Littleton, Former Director. Learning Design Solutions with Corporate College, a Division of Cuyahoga Community College, has experience in manufacturing, customer service, service industries, financial organizations, non-profit, government agencies and healthcare sectors. He is well versed in supervisory, management, and leadership skill development.
Hugh has been very instrumental in implementing many continuous improvement initiatives with companies ranging from small manufacturing to Fortune 500 companies; providing training across the US and abroad internationally.
